The best way to get the stains out of diapers = the sun.
The sun is a great whitener and natural bleach. Please, keep in mind that diapers have a specific use and that use does not need to be pretty.
Breastfed baby poop- I've found that the best way to get this type of stain out of clothing, towels and blankets is to wet the stain with cold water and rub Fels-Naptha soap on it. The color of the soap bar is essentially the same, so don't think that it's not working or it's making the stain worse. Toss the garment or blanket in the wash and the stain should come out. If the stain is an old one, though, you may have to do this a couple of times. NOTE: Fels-Naptha is a soap and should NEVER be used on cloth diapers.*
So what is 'Green' Living?
Well for us at Earth Bums, it means being environmentally responsible as a way living our every day lives.
There are many degrees of Green Living, whether you grow your own foods or just recycle on a regular basis- you are helping to take care of the environment.
Below you will find some hints or tips in order to make living a 'green' lifestyle a little easier.
Recycling:
Are you tired of getting all those plastic bags at the grocery store and not having anywhere to recycle them?
*Here's a tip, most of the Stores that give you the bags also take those abundant plastic bags and recycles them.
Also, at Kroger if you bring your plastic bags back to reuse, they'll give you .05 cents off your purchase per bag.
What about those paper bags? If you don't currently have a recycling service, take your paper bags to any local school and participate in their program where the school can earn money for things they may need.
Tired of making all those trips to recycle?
Purchase Canvas or Reuseable Bags and use them every time you shop. They are incredibly durable and have many uses beyond grocery bags. We like Envirosax.
